that Prospect Park, in Brooklyn, hosted a portion of the city’s anti-aircraft defense during World War II? The area hosted three hundred soldiers, manned batteries, underground ammunition dumps, observation towers, repair shops, and barracks. The defenses were disbanded in 1944, but still, traces of slit trenches and sandbagged gun emplacements could be found for many years afterward.

that nursing is considered the most honest and ethical profession in the United States? In a report by Gallup that rates the honesty and values of diverse professions, nurses came in at #1, followed by doctors, clergy, pharmacists, and others.

This year, MJA kicked off digital marketing efforts to support nursing recruitment for SUNY Upstate Medical Center. We are preparing a comprehensive marketing strategy, including revamped social media and website presence to help the hospital increase recruitment and improve the recruitment process.
