I was asked to help a milketea shop to build their social media accounts today, and their mean purpose for their social media accounts is to gain more consumers. So what I notices is that for small business, if you want to use social media to increase your consumer, one way you can do it to create a very unique brand image, but this is very difficult to do and requires a lot of energy to put into it. But the owner of small business does not have the this much extra time, neither do they have the money to hire professions to do so. Therefore, what I recommend for small business with building social media account is that instead on go target large consumer, they can use platforms that targets 'private domain traffic'.

This weekend, I was in a conference in Fort Lauderdale Florida, the meeting was about international business, and it especially talk about how we can use the short video platform and live streaming to approach cross country business through the internet. Tiktok is one of the major platform. With the rise of short video platform it opens to us a new channel for both product distribution, sale, and promotion! Very inspiring!

Continue from my last post. After the fashion week, my next job moved to the promoting and PR side of the marketing. I have help arrange a TV interview for the CEO of the company. The picture one was she doing interview and picture two was all the founders of the company together doing interview. I am so glad to be working in all company, their story really inspire me. But most importantly, what I learned most from this promoting experiences was that when doing promoting, you really have to know what is the core of your company and make your speech around that, also reach the right media for your promoting is also very important.

Seeing the fashion week in New York City this week remind me of my summer intern at the Obaobao Children Clothes Company. I was a marketing intern there and the photo below are their summer shows launch day. As a marketing intern, my job at the time was introducing the products to consumers from the Gansu providence. Now looking back at this experiences, it was fun and tired, but what I learned most from this was that if you are working for a fashion company, you really need to know the most update trend and know your consumer's preferences is very important.
