Kame, a Japanese ramen restaurant, was founded by a couple that decided to turn their dream into reality. After putting in all their efforts, the couple opened Kame in 2017 which has turned into a real hidden gem in Chelsea NYC.

While it may not be one of the bigger ramen names in NYC, do not sleep on their food, especially their Tonkatsu and their Salmon Don. Both were incredible and really embody Kame's motto which is "Ichigo Ichie" or "once in a lifetime," as they hope to give you a unique and amazing experience each time you visit.

Kopitiam is an homage to the coffee and tea parlors of Malaysia that chef/owner Kyo Pang grew up with. Part of Eater's 38 Essential restaurants in NYC, it's a place you step into and instantly feel like you've been transported to someone's home and welcomed with warm bowls of noodles and plates of subtly sweet desserts. While I wouldn't call them a hidden gem anymore, Kopitiam is one of my favorite nooks in the city that offers a delicious menu inspired by Kyo's childhood.

Full Interview of Kyo coming out later this week!
