The greatest compliment Haaland receives is that his extraordinary feats have come to be seen as ordinary. Even when he scores a hat-trick, it is treated as routine; he scored two goals last night, yet it barely caused a stir. Bear in mind, too, that he plays for Norwayโa small nation in football termsโand has scored more goals than he has played matches. 64 goals in 56 games ๐ฅโhe is a machine who has made the exceptional seem mundane, whereas if anyone else scored two, people would be making a huge fuss.
