This year marks 15 years since we lost Chris. 15 years Andrew has grown up without a father to celebrate life’s milestones with him. As a founding member of the Brain Tumor Foundation (BTF), Chris worked tirelessly to raise awareness about the importance of early detection. I can’t think of a better way to honor his memory than by raising funds to support BTF’s effort to establish an early diagnosis protocol for brain tumors.

To bring comfort, hope and healing.

In his inimitable style, my dear mentor, world-scholar Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz, has composed the following prayer for this COVID-19 era.
I am amazed how, in spite of his stroke a few years ago, this giant of man has not allowed his feeble body to interrupt the metaphysical power of his soul that continues to nurture us and guide us.

Long ago, Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz taught me that the Torah is not "from" heaven. Rather, it is heaven. This thought-provoking statement certainly applies to my mentor too. In many ways, he too is heavenly, and so are his words. Especially those in this prayer.

Let us recite them together - with all our hearts and soul. May G-d heed our prayer, and "send our world tidings of salvation and redemption which will comfort all of God's children and offer them peace and blessings, light and joy." Amen.
