Some of the most common cleaning and personal care ingredients have been found to be potential carcinogens, irritants, toxins, or endocrine disruptors. We believe there's a smarter way to clean without these chemicals.

Dirty Labs was founded to create the change we want to see in the cleaning industry — a truly innovative, sustainable approach to cleaning that’s rooted in science and aligned with nature. By utilizing breakthroughs in green chemistry, their team of chemists and environmentalists have raised the bar for performance, safety, and sustainability.

Founder Story:
Dirty Labs was born out of a passion for nature and sustainability. David Watkins and Dr. Pete He, have spent their careers in different fields, but shared a common vision of creating a cleaner future for the planet and the people.

David Watkins is an award-winning product designer and entrepreneur who has worked with Google, Jawbone, Skullcandy, and Incase. He witnessed the excessive amount of manufacturing waste being produced for consumer products and wanted to find a way to reduce it.

Dr. Pete He, is a veteran chemist with over 20 years of experience and a portfolio of leading innovations in home and personal care products. He also served as a board member and sector leader of the The Sustainability Consortium (TSC), one of the world’s largest consumer product sustainability organizations. During his 8-year tenure at TSC, Pete helped define and implement the product sustainability criteria for more than 100 product categories.

Together, they teamed up to create bio-based and nontoxic cleaning solutions that are safe for the most sensitive skin and fabrics. They are driven by a vision of making traditional petrochemical-based cleaning obsolete and creating a cleaner world for generations to come.

Chameleon Cold-Brew: The Nation’s Original Cold Brew

Chameleon Cold-Brew is a coffee company that was born in Austin, Texas in 2010. It was founded by two self-professed coffee geeks. Chris Campbell and Steve Williams met at a neighborhood barbecue in Austin, Texas, where they discovered their mutual love for coffee. They decided to join forces to sell a cold brew brand based on the original recipe served at Bennu Coffee. They teamed up with Austin's master roaster, R.C. Beall, to perfect the cold brew blend using beans from Beall’s coffee sourcing company, Texas Coffee Traders.

They launched their first products in the Austin market in 2011, and soon expanded to other regions and retailers.

In 2017, they sold a majority stake of Chameleon Cold-Brew to NestlĂ©, the world’s largest food and drinks company, to further grow their brand and reach more consumers.

In 2022, they sold Chameleon Cold-Brew to SYSTM Foods, a food and beverage brand platform that focuses on plant-based, sustainable, and socially responsible products.

Chris and Steve remain involved in the brand as advisors and ambassadors, and continue to share their passion for cold brew coffee with the world.
