And now, it's officially coming to Kickstarter.
We're beyond excited to help bring "An Illustrated Field Guide to Balls" to life in all of its weird, wonderful, wildly scientific glory.
48 hand-drawn male specimens. Detailed field notes. Highly rigorous methodology (see: the Drip Index). Part love letter, part honey roast of the human male.
Is the methodology questionable? Perhaps. Are we committed to the research? Completely. For science, obviously.
Field research is ongoing. Publication begins September 29.

Some of our favourite stories aren't just written on the pages... they're also hidden in the edges ✨📚

Sprayed edges aren't just the side of a book. When they're done right, they're another chance to tell the story.

When Liz Tomforde came to us for the Windy City Special Editions, she knew she wanted color-blocked sprayed edges that flowed seamlessly across all five books. The design itself was still waiting to be discovered.

Our team kept coming back to the same inspiration: Chicago.

So we created a continuous skyline that stretches across all five sprayed edges. Together, the books form one iconic cityscape. Individually, each one still stands beautifully on its own.

That same inspiration carried throughout the rest of the collection. We created custom Skyline dust jackets that gave the set its own distinct identity, using spot gloss finishes that catch the light and make every book feel as special on its own as it does together.

This is what we mean when we say we build worlds, not commodities. Every project is a collaboration, and every detail is intentional, crafted by real designers working alongside the authors and artists readers love.
Because the best collector's editions aren't just beautiful. Every detail works together to tell the story ❤️

Just over a week in, and Discount Dan has already smashed past $85,000 on Kickstarter with nearly two weeks still to go 💥

A huge congratulations to James on an incredible launch for the Discount Dan: Mythic-Grade Hardback Edition.

This community has shown up in a big way, and it's easy to see why. Every detail has been crafted for collectors, from the foil stamping and spot gloss to the illustrated endpapers and the incredible forced edge artwork that transforms between Dan and Croc.

The campaign has already unlocked an amazing lineup of stretch goals, including forced edges, a dust jacket, the reversible Croc plushie, the reversible Jorted Dan dust jacket, and more, with even bigger rewards still ahead as the campaign continues.
