I HAVE A DREAM!
The March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom was a monumental moment in the history of America.

In 1963, more than 250,000 people gathered together in front of the Lincoln Memorial to demand equal rights for African Americans. This was a time when many African Americans were being denied access to public accommodations, including restaurants and hotels. It was an especially difficult time for black Americans who lived in the south, where they had no voting rights and were often denied jobs that paid them equal wages to white people.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who would become one of America's most influential civil rights leaders, gave his "I Have A Dream" speech at this rally, which has since become one of the most well-known speeches in American history. He told those gathered: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."

This speech inspired many people around the world to fight for equality for people of all races by speaking out against injustice and inequality wherever they could find it—including here at home!
