Joe Carella's public relations career can be traced back to 1965, when, as a 9-year-old living in Queens, he decided to beat the summer ennui by volunteering for John V. Lindsay's mayoral campaign. He got his parents to vote for him. Years later, after graduating from college, he pursued a career in broadcast journalism, eventually transitioning to public relations in 1986. Over the past 27 years, he has represented a diverse roster of clients including Toyota Motors USA, the New York Yankees, Pl***oy Enterprises, Discovery Networks, Bravo Cable Network, the Empire State Building, the Apollo Theatre, Top of the World at the World Trade Center, Bryant Park Corporation, the Italian American Museum, the National Research Institute, and The Trump Organization. Prior to founding Joseph J. Carella Associates in 1995, Joe was a highly esteemed Senior Vice President at Rubenstein Associates public relations. He is a member of the New York Press Club, the International Motor Press Association, Motor Press Guild, Ferrari Club of America, Alfa Romeo Owners Club, and Fiat Club America. Beginning in 1978, Joe worked as a reporter and editor in television and radio. He is a former Senior Assignment Editor of CNN's Northeast Bureau in New York, and worked as a reporter at WABC Radio, and WTNH-TV (Ch. 8), the ABC affiliate in Connecticut. He is a recipient of the Associated Press' prestigious "Enterprise Reporting Award." Joe was born and reared in New York City and is a graduate of Brooklyn College of the City University of New York.
