Photographing dark, tonal garments is all about separation and control.

With these Altuzarra pieces, the challenge is keeping the green rich and accurate while still revealing the drape, texture, construction, and intricate printed details.

That takes precise lighting, careful styling, and retouching that enhances the garment without changing what it actually looks like.

A ring like this is deceptively difficult to photograph well. 📸

You’re dealing with dozens of reflective surfaces at once: a large center stone, pavé diamonds, polished metal, tiny prongs, and intricate setting details, all of which need to hold definition without blowing out highlights or losing depth.

That kind of product is exactly where Razor’s studio expertise matters. Lighting has to be controlled with precision, focus needs to hold across extremely small details, and retouching has to refine the image without flattening the materials or making the piece feel artificial.

Sometimes the next great shoot is just down the hall.

Our studio is located in Industry City, a Brooklyn campus of 35 acres and 700+ companies where makers, designers, food businesses, and creative teams work side by side.

Recently, our friends Nick and Mike, the Fio Bros came in for a shoot of their gratitude journal, One Good Thing a Day. Alongside their podcast, it’s another way they’re encouraging people to find a little good in the everyday. Then came their FOX 5 feature, complete with our product images and a Razor Creative Labs credit on screen. Pretty fun to see a neighborhood collaboration make the news.

Built to look better the more it’s worn.

Save Khaki United’s approach to denim is rooted in the same philosophy that runs through the rest of the brand: simple design, purposeful details, and fabrics chosen for how they feel and age over time.

We photographed this jacket to preserve exactly that. The rich indigo, broken-in fading, and construction details that give it depth and character.

Before the final image, there’s a full visual process behind it. Lighting, styling, composition, on-model direction, product detail, and the small adjustments that make sure the finished images feel consistent with the brand at every touchpoint.

For Ghurka, the goal was to create imagery that felt as refined and considered as the product itself. Balancing clean e-commerce shots with on-model photography that gives the collection context, scale, and personality.

Luxury product photography is often about translating material.

With Miu Miu, those details are doing a lot of the design work here—the softness of suede, plush shearling edging, tonal stitching, and warm gold hardware all creating contrast within a tightly controlled neutral palette.

We photographed the bag from multiple perspectives to preserve that tactile quality while still giving shoppers a clear read on proportion, construction, and functionality.

Because when texture is this central to the product, it shouldn’t get flattened on the screen.
