The New York State Law Enforcement and Community Council (NYSLECC) Official Launce Today on September 14, 2024, at 131-08 20th Ave, College Point, NY.
The event was a showcase of the council’s commitment to fostering collaboration between law enforcement and the community.
NYSLECC President Anthony Moran opened the event with a speech highlighting the council’s mission to strengthen ties between law enforcement and local communities. He discussed the council’s future plans for collaboration and development, setting a hopeful tone for the event.
First Vice President Anthony Gagliardi followed with remarks underscoring the importance of community-law enforcement partnerships and how NYSLECC aims to build these connections to improve public safety and mutual understanding.
The event continued with speeches from key community figures, including the President of the Guangdong Association and Community Chief Director Ryan Su (SuShao). During his address, Ryan Su shared:
"It is a great honor to stand here today, representing our nonprofit organization, to extend the warmest welcome to all of you! Regardless of your race, age, gender, or identity, you are a part of our big family here. In this family, there is no discrimination—only inclusion, understanding, and care. We firmly believe that it is this diversity that makes our community stronger and more vibrant."
"Our mission is to help those in need. Within our capacity, we will do our utmost to provide support and assistance to everyone. Whether you are facing personal challenges or in need of social services, we will always be your strong support."
"If you are interested in becoming a part of this family, we have a simple yet meaningful way to make it happen. By contributing 100 hours of volunteer service to our organization, you can become an official member. Moreover, if you complete 500 to 1,000 hours of volunteer work within a year, we will apply for and present you with the prestigious 'U.S. President's Volunteer Service Award' in recognition of your dedication and hard work."
"Here, we are not only helping others but also building a better community together. Through our joint efforts, we can bring warmth and hope to more people. Thank you all once again for being here. We look forward to working with you hand in hand to create a brighter future."
In the second half of the conference, discussions focused on upcoming initiatives, including safety education seminars, volunteer programs, and cultural exchange activities. These efforts are designed to promote greater community engagement and enhance public safety awareness.
The volunteer team, led by Community Chief Director Ryan Su (Team SuShao), arrived at 10:00 AM to manage preparations, including venue setup, guest registration, and equipment checks. Also cleaned up the venue after the press conference.
This press conference marked a significant step forward in NYSLECC’s mission, demonstrating the council’s organizational capabilities and dedication to serving the community. It also laid the groundwork for future collaborations with local law enforcement, ensuring a safer and more connected community for all.
