I always say that New York is one of the best places to raise a child with special needs — and tonight at the JCC Manhattan Special Needs Fair proved exactly why. ❤️

It’s truly remarkable that the JCC creates this kind of resource where families can meet schools, therapists, related service providers, and programs all in one room. For so many parents, nights like this make the path forward feel a little clearer and a lot less overwhelming.

A special thank you to every school, provider, and organization who took the time to exhibit. Your commitment to our community shows in every conversation, every handout, every moment you spend guiding families.

For me, this fair is always a highlight of the year. I get to learn about new programs, reconnect with old friends and educators, and see firsthand how our community continues to grow and support one another.

Here’s to more access, more options, and more hope for every family.

Flower of the Dawn — a 39-minute animated short featuring the voices of Mel Brooks, Jane Lynch, Matt Lucas, and Jennifer Holliday — is premiering at the Soho International Film Festival this Saturday, October 11th, followed by a Q&A with the creative team.
It’s a fairytale reimagined for today — a story about courage, kindness, and embracing who you are. Inspired by a lesser-known Brothers Grimm tale, it blends humor, heart, and gorgeous music into an uplifting message for both kids and adults.
