Back in February I posted about an awesome organization, Playtime Project, which helps create a safe space for homeless kids to play. I was invited back to photograph their awards dinner where I got to meet Lakia again. This time sharing her story and strength. Thanks in partial to the help of Playtime Project, she is getting back on her feet and looking amazing as she does it! I am so happy to see her again doing well for herself and her kids.

I rarely see my photos used in the finished project which gives me great pleasure to see some of them in my recent work for playtimeproject.org. A great organization that provides a safe place to play for many children in emergency shelter and transitional housing sites throughout Washington, D.C.

I'll be in DC for a while and as I get used to the daily work grind I find the characters of this city interesting. Suits hustling to get to work. Not much different than Bangkok, Tokyo or Paris in many ways but completely different in other ways.

Like they say in Thailand: Same Same But Different.
