With Paul Shaw at his serial typography gathering, this time at the Milton Glaser archives within The School of Visual Arts for a conversation with Seymour Chwast. I never knew how much quality work this man produced through his career, and he’s still going at 92. Smart, conceptual and expressive graphic illustrations that entertain and inform—an inspiration.

Hard to believe it’s the 25th anniversary of a documentary print piece Worksight designed for Gilbert Paper to showcase their uncoated commercial paper. Photos for it were made by Lon Murdick with words by Augustine Hope. Some of Coney has been replaced by the next generation of rides and shops, but the freak show, Cyclone, and Wonderwheel continue. Special note: Gilbert was worried about the last line of text shown—No Disneyland. But after asking their lawyers they let us keep it in. I made it red.
