We had the honor of producing a number of the prints for Talia Chetrit’s exhibition Bunny in Madrid. Talia has been a client of LTI for years, and print production with her is always a close, careful collaboration. Getting every print right matters, and seeing the finished work make its way to Madrid was a great feeling.

For her first institutional solo exhibition in Spain, Chetrit presents a selection of works that moves playfully between portraiture, tableaux, and still life, placing past and present photographs in dialogue within a single visual sequence. Curated by Stella Bottai and organized by the LOEWE Foundation on the occasion of PHotoEspaña 2026, Bunny is on view at Museo Lázaro Galdiano, Madrid, closes this Sunday, August 30th.

For the past few weeks, we worked with José Castrellón to produce a new print, “Croc & Sargasso,” for an upcoming group show from his new series TÓMBOLO.

TÓMBOLO is about Panama’s creation and the literal force of nature behind it. Panama’s history is one of continents uniting, oceans dividing, mountains emerging, jungles overflowing, and fauna from two hemispheres coming together.

This image, titled Croc & Sargasso, holds a quiet irony: the “croc” is plastic, not animal, a manmade double for the crocodiles that increasingly move through Panama’s waterways. Paired with sargassum, a drifting signal of warming seas, the image captures a coastline where nature and its synthetic double have become inseparable.

We recently got to print a captivating project by Jackson Krule:

Jackson Krule has spent nearly a decade photographing Kiryas Joel, a Satmar Hasidic community in upstate New York, a level of access that’s rare for an outsider to gain, let alone sustain. He started in 2017, at the community’s Lag Ba’Omer celebration, and kept coming back. The work is built on patience and trust.

Krule was raised in an Orthodox Jewish community himself, and that shapes how he sees Kiryas Joel: familiar, yet distant, toward a community often misunderstood from the outside. His photographs move between large public gatherings and quiet moments at home. Faith, tradition, family life. Nearly 60 percent of Kiryas Joel’s residents are under 18, visible throughout, children and family are everywhere in the work.

The series appears in American Shtetl (Princeton University Press, 2021), has run in The New York Times, and has been recognized by American Photography and the Magenta Foundation’s Flash Forward competition.

Tyler Woodruff:
Tyler is a photographer and filmmaker hailing from Dallas, Texas. Since picking up his first film camera 9 years ago, Tyler has shot album artwork, fashion campaigns, behind-the-scenes & more. In his personal work, through portraiture, he highlights the lives and creativity of the Black and African diasporas, with special attention to cultural legacies.

Nina Tanujaya:
I’m a New York based photographer born and raised in San Francisco. My work looks at time, family and the color, physical joy, and weight in that history. These images, from my project Sisa Masa, depict my old neighborhood and explore the feeling of seeing what once felt steady give way to time. I’m also the one behind LTI’s social media and marketing.

At the lab, people sometimes ask why they’d need their negatives back. The scan is convenient. But it’s not the original. If a file gets lost or deleted, if you want a larger scan later, if you ever want a darkroom print made, you need it. LTI returns negatives with every order. You’ll want them later.

Last month, our friend and photographer Noah Wall hosted a collaborative self-portrait workshop at Selis Manor, a NYC community center for blind and visually impaired people. Subjects triggered the shutter themselves, squeezing a release bulb to take their own portrait. These black and white images are the result of that collaboration.

Negatives last decades with the right storage and degrade faster than most people expect without it. Archival sleeves, a cool dry location, clean handling, and clear labeling go a long way. If you’re not storing them that way yet, it’s worth changing. The negative is the original. Keep it in good condition and it’ll be there when you need it.
