“Tutto Boetti 1966–1993”—a major exhibition dedicated to Alighiero Boetti—is now officially open.
On view at Magazzino Italian Art from April 26, 2026 through April 26, 2028, the exhibition presents a multifaceted exploration of Boetti’s artistic practice, tracing its evolution from his early experiments in 1960s Turin to the large-scale works of his later years.
Featuring approximately 30 works, including a core group from the museum’s permanent collection alongside significant loans from the Boetti Estate and a major private collection, the exhibition highlights the remarkable coherence of an artist whose work was grounded in systems, collaboration, and an openness to the world—establishing him as a central figure in the development of Arte Povera.
The presentation opens with a rare group of early works first shown in Boetti’s 1967 solo exhibition at Galleria Christian Stein in Turin, offering key insight into the conceptual foundations of his practice.
It continues through his Roman period, with seminal works such as Da mille a mille (1975) and Mappa (1983), reflecting his exploration of authorship, duality, and delegated ex*****on.
