Heavenly Father,
Today, we lift up the residents of California as wildfires rage and uncertainty looms. Lord, we ask You to extend Your hand of protection over those who have not been directly affected by the flames. Cover them mentally, emotionally, and physically as they navigate the fear and trauma that surrounds them.
We also bring before You those who have been directly impacted, those who have lost loved ones, homes, and cherished possessions. Father, comfort them in their grief, strengthen them in their sorrow, and remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted. Provide for their every need and surround them with a community of support and love.
We recognize, Lord, that these are heavy and uncertain times. For those battling fear and anxiety, we pray that You grant them a peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and remind them that You are their refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
Father, we also pray for holistic protection, for their homes, their health, and their communities. May Your angels encamp around them, shielding them from harm. And may they feel the prayers of believers across this nation who are standing in the gap, interceding on their behalf.
Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness, for hearing our cries, and for being the God who walks with us through every fire. We trust You, and we place California in Your hands.
