Galileo Research & Strategy Consultancy

Galileo Research & Strategy Consultancy Psychology-based qualitative research consultancy, harnessing theory and practice from academic and therapeutic psychology to decode customer decision-making.

For more inquiries contact Colleen Branigan: [email protected] We focus on high consideration categories – requiring complex and emotionally charged decision-making. These include healthcare, luxury goods, automotive, financial services, technology, and career services. We are the only market research company to combine leading edge theory from academic psychology and Behavioral Economic

s with leading edge practice from therapeutic psychology to help our clients more effectively decode and influence customer decision-making. We draw on the work of leading psychologists, Nobel laureate Daniel Kahneman and Professor Steve Peters, to develop tools to access the three brain systems, and design research protocols to address them in a specific order, to uncover a more complete and accurate mindset map for our clients. We are leaning into the psychological advantages of speaking to participants at home, in this new COVID-19 reality, innovating to ensure that our research is as revelatory, valuable and engaging online as it has always been in-person. Our studies lead to unexpected and highly actionable marketing recommendations that inform the entire lifecycle of our clients’ business needs – from insight and positioning studies to messaging and concept development and evaluation and optimization of brand communications. Healthcare is the largest part of our practice, and we have extensive experience in more than 50 disease states, working with patients, caregivers, HCPs and many other stakeholders. We find our therapeutic, psychology-based approach is particularly valuable for the nuanced and emotionally charged conversations needed within the complex world of healthcare. We are a certified Women-Owned business and a “Best and Brightest Companies to Work for in the Nation Winner 2020.”

The Galileo Team raised over $3000 for the Cholangiocarciinoma Foundation! 7 members of our team participated in the Burning Survivors TRY -- an event that honors immediacy, community, and radically surviving cancer by physically challenging ourselves while helping the cancer community in return. Through tough weather and heat, we hiked mountains in Mass and Hawaii, and ran/biked/swam on both the East Coast and West Coast!

Executive Director Aaron Villa recently presented at the IIeX Health online conference sponsored by GreenBook in a talk entitled Layering Multiple Moments: Bringing Color, Depth and Motion to the Target Patient Portrait.

Too often as researchers we are able to interact with patients only at a moment in time. Whether at a focus group, through a quantitative survey, or even via mobile ethnography, we get—at best—a snapshot of how someone is feeling at a particular moment. Watch Aaron present a case study with one of our top clients on how we innovated an approach to hear from patients both in real time and across time, uncovering new and deeper insights than had been possible before and ultimately moving the brand team and their launch creative in new directions.

Congratulations to Hina Hussain, Galileo’s new Director of Diversity & Inclusion. The conversation on racial equality and justice in our society has been propelled to the forefront like never before this year. Galileo has been passionate about advancing efforts on diversity and inclusion for some time, and to further solidify our commitment, we have now created this new vital position at Galileo. As well as a vast background in multicultural research, Hina is a Board Member of Insights in Color, an initiative that centers the voices of BIPOC researchers and marketers in our industry.

One of our first initiatives as a team will be to participate in an Unconscious Bias Training Workshop on December 14th with the Workplace Doctor Founder and CEO, Natasha Bowman. In line with Galileo's unique psychology-based approach, this session aims to challenge the underlying subconscious biases we have as individuals, with a view to implement real-world changes both in our workplace and our own lives.
