Tsakos Group proudly hoisted the Greek flag aboard the newly delivered DP2 Shuttle Suezmax tanker ANFIELD DP, marking the beginning of the vessel's 10-year charter with ExxonMobil. This new milestone reflects the Group's enduring commitment to innovation, operational excellence, the future of global shipping, and Greece's leading role in international maritime trade.
The decision to register ANFIELD DP under the Greek flag, with Piraeus as her port of registry, further enhances the prestige of the Greek Registry while underscoring the importance of Greece's presence in the world's leading shipbuilding nations, particularly in the Far East. As the vessel sails across the globe, it will proudly represent the strength, tradition, and excellence of Greek shipping.
H.E. Kimberly Ann Guilfoyle, U.S. Ambassador to Greece served as the vessel's sponsor. Her participation highlighted the strong and enduring maritime partnership between Greece, South Korea, and the United States.
Dr. Nikolas P. Tsakos, Founder & CEO of TEN Ltd. (NYSE: TEN) and former Chairman of INTERTANKO (2014–2018), described the delivery as another major milestone in TEN's long-standing newbuilding program, emphasizing the vital role of international cooperation in advancing innovation, sustainability, and excellence across the global maritime industry.
