Please visit our website to see selected projects: www.wns.nyc Why Not Smile) is a multidisciplinary creative consultancy based in New York City. We design to create engaged, open communication between the client and the audience in different fields. We work with clients, who appreciate the power of visual languages and have a great influence on art, architecture, beauty, fashion, education, lifes

tyle, and culture. The focus of WNS is integrated branding across various media: identity, print, web, social media, and photography. We methodically orchestrate various media to speak for the brand, and aim for one strong voice that delivers one united brand experience to each individual. This voice harmonizes within different visual platforms so that it becomes a single complete representation of the brand.

Spring is here. WNS has finally launched its new website. Please take a look at what we have been working on lately, and where we are heading to. It’s been already 8 years since I have formed Why Not Smile in 2009. Thanks for all your help, guidance, and attention in leading WNS to where it is today.

With the help of many former designers and interns, we finally released PIN through Colophon Foundry. We specially thank James Goggin who ignited the original idea, Jin Kim who was the lead designer on this project, and of course Colophon Foundry who made this all happen.
http://www.colophon-foundry.org/fonts/pin/about-font

"PIN is a three-weight, nine-cut family of geometric sans-serif types. The design, available in dot-matrix, stencil, and solid variations, is based on an expanding grid in which each weight rests comfortably within the other, expanding out from the stroke's center-point.

Initiated by Kim after a chance look towards the ceiling in a London tube station—which revealed a circular, 24-bulb chandelier above—the project started with a 16-node variation on a geometric dot matrix and grew from there to ultimately include three styles and three weights, each applicable across body copy, headlines, and tables."
