One of my all-time favorite design icons… The classic California Clock Kit Cat Klock 🐈‍⬛⏰

Originally launched in 1932, this clock is one of my prized possessions. I should have snapped a video so you could see the eyes move and the tail wag - it’s pure joy in motion.

I was also thrilled that back when we had Fred Flare, we sold it for many years. It was a top seller, especially during back-to-school season and the holiday rush.

I love the LGBTQ+ & Allied a ca****la Key of Q chorus and their One Day Chorus event where you learn and perform a song with them. Last fall we did F**k You by Lily Allen and it was such a blast.

This weekend they’re bringing it back with Pink Pony Club by Chappell Roan. I can’t make it but I’ll be there in spirit… On stage in my heels 💅✨

Wow, speaking of Fred Flare… I love it when I find vintage Fred for sale online! I was randomly searching “Fred Flare sushi set” for kicks and it popped up on Poshmark. One of our top-selling stationery sets, 100% Buddy’s brainchild. 😍 We sold 1000s of these sushi sets. We even sold them wholesale to Paperchase (UK) and Urban Outfitters (US)!

It blows my mind that people kept these in their drawers for 25 years and now are selling them online. I love it, I love it!

More on the Pike’s Plan canopy removal…

It’s definitely stirring up some heated debate in our otherwise quiet upstate community. As you know, I’m fully into it and just look what’s been revealed.

The building at 31–35 N Front (at Wall St) isn’t one giant aluminum-sided block after all, but three individual buildings hiding vintage charm and department store nostalgia. My photos go from today to yesterday.

Without the canopy coming down, this kind of reveal (and restoration) might never have happened.

It’s been a winter like none other... Almost an old-fashioned winter of lore. And it’s been particularly difficult for me. I slipped on the ice and broke my arm, a 100-ft pine fell and destroyed my garage in a storm and ice dams on the roof have caused my kitchen windows to leak.

But Mister Lester the cat has the right idea… 🧡🔥
