While most Congressional races are a year away, last night Texas held a Special Election for their 18th Congressional District after the tragic passing of Rep. Sylvester Turner and Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee before that. We are proud to be working with Amanda Edwards, Former Houston City Councilmember as she continues onto the runoff election to follow in the footsteps of the legends that have represented Houston in Congress.

Despite Republicans once again trying to use LGBTQ+ youth and families as a political wedge, the bullies and bigots were defeated across the country. We continued our record of winning with Fight for Our Rights by helping flip critical legislative seats in Virginia and New Jersey. If you’re coming for the LGBTQ+ community, we’re coming for your seat. With our amazing partners, Fight for Our Rights won in every single district they competed in. Special congratulations to the candidates we specifically supported – Stacey Caroll in VA HD64, Leslie Mehta in VA HD73, and Andrew Macurdy and Vincent Kearney in NJ LD21.

Last night marked a historic win for housing in New York! We’re proud to have supported the New York City Charter Revision Commission’s voter education campaign behind Questions 2-5. Props 2-5 will give NYC the tools to confront the growing housing crisis by creating an Affordable Housing Fast-Track–making it faster and easier to build affordable housing citywide.

Last night was a huge night across the country for the Democratic party and everyone seeking a voice against the Trump administration. New Jersey made history with record turnout and by electing their first Democratic woman Governor – bringing the total of women Governors in our country up to 10! We worked with One Giant Leap supporting Mikie in the primary and general, and we’re so proud to be a part of this team. We also worked with Middle Ground NJ to run a digital mobilization program in key districts across the state. Democrats now have a super majority in the legislature and the largest majority in 52 years!
