Another: Banish negative self talk. “If you say you can never do something, the chances are you won’t. “Don’t Look for Motivation. Look for Inspiration.” , Pancreatic Cancer Survivor

I heard this from a familiar voice as I was pumping gas the other day. I had just blown off a pool workout and instead decided to take my dog to the beach. Maria Menounos was talking to me from the gas station TV monitor. It was like divine intervention. I was definitely lacking motivation, and without knowing it, was heading to the beach for inspiration!

We love Maria and admire her openly sharing the details of her health journey, surviving pancreatic cancer, and recently becoming a mom!

Our take: Instead of beating yourself up for not having motivation, says the popular TV personality, find inspiration since that will ultimately help you gain motivation.

Check out her latest venture, healsquad.com. She is continuing to inspire others to reach their healthiest versions of themselves, and I can’t wait to see where she takes it next.

Yes it’s true. In a study of men and women in dual-income households, the mess and clutter sent women’s cortisol levels shooting up higher than men. So when it’s time to tidy up or clean out your closet, tell your honey: It will make me sooo much more relaxed! And don’t you want that? 😜

People ask me: Why do I need content? How does it work? Where does it live? Why does it matter? I wish I could tell you that you can just find new customers based on the fabulosity of your product, sharp packaging and unique value proposition. But that just won't cut it in today's digital world.

Google is built on zillions of little electronic spiders "crawling" content and finding exactly what people are searching for (which it calls "relevance"), discovered through key words such as "Best Yoga Tights" or "Top GPS Dog Tracker Collars" ... or "Best Caviar for the Price" then fetching the most relevant and popular answers and information for the person doing the search.

If you're not offering up relevant content that provides helpful information and answers to the most urgent questions being asked right now, then your potential customer's search ends up finding the other guy or gal. Game over.

Create great content that offers advice and answers, tips and helpful hints and relevant information -- and you win. Make it helpful, full of useful, practical advice. This is what Google calls EEAT, which stands for Expertise, Experience, Authoritative and Trustworthiness.

Want to start selling? First start helping your potential customers live better lives. Give them advice. Then give them the reason to buy your product!

No question that ChatGPT changes the game for content creators, who have created skills over a lifetime of reporting, researching, writing, editing, and strategizing the best ways to garner readers. However, I will always believe in the power of personality, wisdom, and the individual's ability to create emotionally engaging content to connect with people, start a meaningful dialogue and grow trust. Before your company monetizes or markets to a community of users/readers/followers, you need to build a relationship of some kind. First, make content people need and want, and that can help them improve their lives. Entertaining content that is trustworthy, helpful, and authoritative (even if the authority is built on personal experience) comes from life, not bytes. Yep, I believe in connecting as human beings.
