Our fabulous client, the iconic all-white culinary secret pop-up Diner en Blanc International took place last night at Robert Wagner Park along the water in New York, and it was a huge success! Over 2500 guests came out to celebrate, dine with friends and strangers and dance under the stars -- and as always their creativity was the star!! I just saw this photo posted on social media by PBS celebrating “Happy National Julia Day.”

My first client in PR was Julia Child, how incredibly lucky was I? I booked a huge national tour for her PBS series ‘Dinner at Julia’s’. It was a very special time in my life, I was young and naive, and she was an absolute doll and so generous.

I remember thinking, wow, public relations is a snap, all I have to do is call a journalist and tell him/her I represent Julia Child and would they be interested in an interview and they would practically shout ‘when’ and ‘where’! She was truly one of a kind. Everyone adored her.

One fond memory were our dinners at restaurants along the tour — the head chef would hear Julia was there and rush out of the kitchen with servers holding a mouth-watering array of yummy dishes for Julia and her guests to enjoy. I gained a good 5 lbs and it was worth every single calorie! We kept in touch for many years ….. Julia, je t’adore toujours !! ❤️

Masha Pearl, Executive Director of The Blue Card, accepting Proclamation from Menashe Shapiro, Deputy Chief of Staff & Senior Advisor to the Mayor declaring January 27th as “The Blue Card Holocaust Survivor Day.”

This proclamation was given in recognition of our client The Blue Card’s critical mission in assisting elderly Holocaust survivors in New York City and across the country. The day coincided with International Holocaust Remembrance Day, marking the 1945 liberation of the deadly Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp.

Thank you to Mayor Eric Adams for the recognition of our client and the honor of this proclamation.

Check out this television interview that The Blue Card’s Executive Director Masha Pearl did on WRAL News in Asheville, North Carolina about the non-profit’s Natural Disasters and Severe Weather Fund.

The Fund is helping to provide life-saving support, including food replacements, emergency transportation and vital medical care, to Holocaust survivors who have been impacted by the devastation caused by Hurricanes Milton and Helene.

Survivors like Eda, who lives in Black Mountain, North Carolina lost power for two weeks; she received emergency aid from The Blue Card to replenish groceries and essential supplies, but there are still many other survivors who need assistance.
