THIS SATURDAY, something rare is happening in Ohio.
For one day, Clary Gardens becomes a living classroom—filled with people who still know how to make, mend, grow, preserve, forage, build, craft, and create with their own hands.
The Lost Skills Gathering was built around one simple belief: a more resilient future begins with capable hands.
This isn’t nostalgia. It’s confidence. It’s carrying forward the knowledge that makes us more resourceful, connected, and less dependent on a world that increasingly asks us to outsource everything.
More than 460 advance tickets have already been sold. People are traveling from across Ohio and 8 different states to learn from 60+ teachers and skill keepers sharing 50+ traditional and practical skills.
Walk from herbal medicine to blacksmithing. From butchery to basketry. From mushroom growing to fire starting. Learn to can food, sharpen tools, mend clothing, ferment, forage, garden, carve, weave, track, make things, fix things—and remember what human hands are capable of.
Bring your children. Bring your parents. Bring the friend who has always wanted to learn “how people used to do that.” Ask questions. Get your hands dirty. Listen to stories. Meet people who care about keeping useful knowledge alive.
You don’t need to be a homesteader, herbalist, farmer, or craftsperson to belong here. You only need curiosity.
Come curious. Leave more capable.
WE ARE ONLY DAYS AWAY. Advance tickets are available through Friday, October 2, and prices increase at the gate.
