Once our seal pup patients are old enough to eat fish, we feed them about five pounds of herring a day to grow strong. Like so many other things this year, the cost of fish has increased dramatically. If you can chip in to help keep their bellies full, it will make a big difference to a tiny seal pup. $10 will supply all four of the fishy meals that a hungry pup needs today!

This is Loki, inspecting his dinner last winter and trying to determine if it really is edible. While the seals are learning to eat whole fish during “fish school,” we use tongs to feed them in order to minimize their interaction with us. Eventually they get curious enough to check the fish out, and then figure out that it’s food!

June is Orca Month!

For the month of June, we will be supporting Puget Soundkeeper Alliance through a promotion with Made In Washington! Head into any Made in Washington location or online store today and for every 1lb/6oz smoked sockeye salmon fillet purchased a $10/$5 donation to helping the Puget Soundkeepers clean up our beloved waters so Orcas and other Washington marine animals can prosper!

At the end of the promotion, each customer who leaves a name (that they want the donation to be on behalf of) and an email/phone number at the time of purchase will get a personalized Thank You video showing the exact impact this promotion has made within the organization. This way you will know that your contribution went to the exact cause that made a difference to our beloved Puget Sound waters!
