note to self: stay focussed, do not get distracted, do not get distracted, do not get...you know what, we could put a little flex seal on that gutter and..."BOOOOOOM!"

(and that's how you miss watching a bridge get blow'd up.)

Before the days of endless brake lights, fast food chains, and millions of square feet of Amazon hubs…It was a one-stop-sign kind of town, run by the rowdiest bunch of rabble-rousers this side of the Ohio. This is our tribute to the wild ones - The Hellraisers of Hebron's past.

Hats for sale if you stop by the studio, or soon to be up on our store. We'll do that link in the bio thing.

Masks…hero’s wear them to protect their identities and those closest to them. Villains wear them to instill fear and assert dominance over the weak. They hide who we are - or show who we want to be.
A mask isn’t inherently good or bad.

We were asked by to be a part of The Cult Of Doom gallery show and we leapt at the chance to be a part of something so massive. That’s when the fear set in, and that’s when we put on our masks.
As an artist, I (Chris) wear a mask. My mask hides me from view…I like to hang back, to observe from afar. I would rather admire the other artist work…and there is definitely some amazing work. My mask hides my imposter syndrome, my fear that someone finds me out. My mask is also me. It’s who I want to be…good or bad.

The Cult Of Doom show opens April 26th at

In the fall, a heavy windstorm put our engineering skills to the ultimate test…we failed and our sign had to come down.
And so after several months of planning, constructing, stress tests and crossing our fingers, we’re excited to share that we once again have our sign back up. Now with 100% more rounded corners!

Wait, WHAT?!?! Ms Bravo, is that you? The Ms Bravo whose class we read our books to every year? The Ms Bravo that sends us amazing thank you letters from her amazing students? Students who say how much they appreciate both Dye Brothers equally? That Ms Bravo?

Heck yeah it is!!!

Voting couldn’t be easier: text “Bravo” to 24454
That’s it! Do it so that maybe when we come to read to her awesome class again this year that we get invited for a cheese coney.

Back to school is a huge time…for some kids, it’s their first day in this huge new building with new faces, new rooms, and (hopefully) new artwork on the walls! Our good friends at asked us to come back and spread a little more paint on their walls. We wish all of their students a wonderful school year and hope they make some amazing memories this year!

The 90’s.
Long hair, torn jeans, loose-fitting flannel, and Dr. Martin boots were the uniform worn by all of GenX…and the music. Grunge, The Seattle Sound. Hip hop gave us Gangsta Rap, East Coast vs. West Coast. California’s punk rock scene also ushered in ska punk/reggae rock. Industrial music gave us mashup synthpop and heavy metal that melted faces.

Some stuff happened in Country music too…I think…honestly, we weren’t listening.

This is the decade where our last intern comes to us from. As angsty and apathetic as they come Emily showed up on her first day, said, “whatever,” rolled her eyes and put her boots up on the desk. Every question was answered with, “ugh, you wouldn’t understand.” We finally had to ask the other interns if they knew how she died and let me tell you, it’s epic. Apparently she was in some dirty hole-in-the-wall venue photographing an up and coming band that one of her friends had heard was coming to town. She was shooting black and white (obviously) on her Minolta Hi-Matic 7s with a fixed lens rangefinder. She was hanging out by the stage when the bands frontman started smashing his guitar during the finale. Bits of the guitar were flying everywhere…and when he finally connected with one of the amps, a pointy chunk few off and struck Emily in the chest. The mosh pit carried on and she was pushed off to the side where everything went black.

See what I mean? Oddly enough, no one ever developed her last roll of film.

Lucky for us, is still very much into photography, so we’re gonna a make that work for us.
So happy she’s haunting us.

The 80’s…so much hair spay! The 80’s saw the rise of glam metal and what we all now refer to as yacht rock. It was a time of laissez-faire capitalism and Wall Street yuppies. The fall of the Berlin Wall, and fall of the Soviet Union. There was famine in Africa and the nuclear disaster at Chernobyl.
It was also a time of rebellion, which is where we find our next intern apparition, Austin. Austin was a huge Gn’R fan but his parents were not. He bought himself the best set of headphones he could find at the mall and rocked out a loudly as he could. AC/DC, Judas Priest, Slayer, and Antrax were some of his favorites. But Austin’s little secret would ultimately do him in. Between his heavy metal albums, he would sometimes slip in his “Weird Al” album. It was during one of the accordion rifs in “I Lost on Jeopardy” that both of his eardrums burst and he passed away. But being a rebellious 80’s youth, he “flipped the bird” to the bright light and continued to rock on. He was mourned by his parents and his pet cockroach.

Austin spends his days on the stage of our third floor ballroom working on his one man show…whatever that is. Welcome …the Dye Brothers are both jealous of your hair.

The 70’s…nearly as forgotten as GenX.
The 70s’s saw the end of the Vietnam Conflict and the rise of Disco. People were staying out of the oceans while mobsters were “sleeping with the fishes.”
This is where our next intern comes to us from. Wylie was your average 70’s teenager. She was a huge fan of KC and the Sunshine Band who just so happened to be playing a show with Donna Summer. She couldn’t find a ride, so she decided to hitchhike…
Unfortunately for her, she was facing the wrong direction and was hit by a car. A sad earthly end to a promising young designer. Lucky for us, she made her presence known and has agreed to be one of our interns this year.
Hopefully she enjoys the music we play in the office, even if it’s not disco.

Best thing about the 70’s? Both Dye Brothers were born in this decade.

The 60’s…peace and love right?
Wrong.
Well, half right.
There was plenty of love….i mean it didn’t get the “summer of love” nick name for nothing. Our next intern met her end that very summer.

When we interviewed her, this was her story:
“I was waiting for my partner outside a party where we were supposed to dance. I was right next to a fountain; the fountain was deep with white architecture leading up to a beautiful angel sitting on top of the fountain peering down at everyone. It was half past seven and my partner was supposed to be here at six. As I sat there and waited, I wondered why I was waiting. He was very late, and the party ended at eight. As I sat and thought I peered up at the angel sitting on top of the fountain. I thought,” What a beautiful statue.” I wonder what the creator of the fountain was thinking about putting the angel on top of the fountain.” Angels are so pure and beautiful” I said with a saddening feeling in my gut, knowing my partner wasn’t going to show up. But then my sadness turned into frustration, I said, “Why should the angel have to sit, watch, and wait on everyone? He should be allowed to fly away and find someone who will wait on him!” I stood there next to the angel Foutain frustrated and distressed. As I was about to leave I felt a hand grab my back. My eyes lit up as I thought it might be my dance partner who had finally shown up. But before I could turn around he grabbed my bag and pushed me. As he ran away, I lost my balance from the wet pavement that was created by the fountain and slipped hitting my head on part of the fountain. Causing me to go unconscious and fall into the deep murky water of the fountain. As the world caved in my last thought was, “Maybe someone will be waiting for me on the other side.” Everything went dark as I became unconscious and drowned in the pure little angel fountain.”

Apparently she’s a bit of a writer…and possibly a Truman Capote fan.
Dye Brothers is so happy to have Ava with us…and hope that she finds her little angel.
