While I haven't really done anything with the aquaponics system for the last couple of years I actually been testing algae. This picture shows some strawberry roots. Keep in mind the have been sitting in stagnant water only a few of the roots are white (normal). The rest like much of the plant is dead. You still see life! The mint grew on its own and has gorgeous white roots and a healthy top. Keep in mind there haven't been fish in this system for five years! A friend of mine in the Philippines wanted to see the strawberries. I will get a picture of the mint when I get back out.

Back on all four. Time to build the reactor.

I decided to end my store bought beans experiment that I started in June. For the first three months they stayed in the fridge. Then I placed them on the counter to see if they would ever mold. This is all they ever got.
