Working with a client right now who is looking to bring on a Business Development professional with strong ties to the Panama City Beach market.

This is for a vacation rental management company, and the role is very relationship-driven, someone who understands the local landscape and can help drive growth in a meaningful way. The position is on-site / hybrid, so local presence is important.

If you or someone in your network may be a fit, feel free to send me a DM!

One thing that’s becoming really clear in 2026: this industry isn’t slowing down… it’s getting sharper.

Guests are booking later and expectations are higher with more competition on the rise. This leaves operators with having to do more with tighter margins.

Good insights from Key Data if you’re planning ahead 👇

One thing I’ve noticed over the years is how often social media gets pushed to the bottom of the priority list.

Operators are busy running the business, serving guests, managing staff, handling operations, and marketing is usually what gets squeezed in when there’s time.

But social media is often the first place potential customers go to get a feel for your business.

They’re looking for things like:
• recent photos
• reviews and engagement
• what the experience actually feels like
• whether the business is active and responsive

A well-maintained social presence builds trust before someone ever books.

For businesses that don’t have time to manage it consistently, sometimes having a little strategy or outside help can make a big difference.

If anyone ever wants advice on improving their social presence, I’m always happy to share ideas!

I had to share this because it perfectly embodies what true hospitality is.

For 10 years, Charlie ate at the same restaurant every day. When he suddenly stopped showing up, the chef noticed and went looking. That decision saved his life.

This is hospitality. Not just service. Not just transactions.
But relationships. Awareness. Care.

In an industry focused on systems and efficiency, this is the reminder: the real magic is still human.

Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear aprons. ❤️

Some people teach hospitality.
Some people live it.

My mentor and former boss, Bruce Craul, just published his new book The Hospitality Advantage, and it couldn’t be more timely.

In an industry racing toward automation and efficiency, Bruce reminds us that the simplest competitive advantage still exists:
making people feel genuinely valued.

Hospitality isn’t complicated.
But it is intentional.
And when it’s done well, it’s unforgettable.

So proud to see this out in the world. Congrats, Bruce 👏
A must-read for anyone in travel, rentals, or the experience business.

When does it actually make sense to bring in an outside advisor? 🤝

Usually when:
• you’re growing but feel scattered
• you’re reworking systems or tools
• you’re repositioning your brand
• guest experience needs refining
• you want a clearer strategy
• or you just want a second set of experienced eyes 👀

Most of the businesses I work with aren’t in crisis.
They’re in transition.

That’s often the best time to bring someone in.

If you’re in the vacation rental or hospitality space and navigating a season of growth or change, I’m always happy to connect and talk through what you’re seeing. 🌿

🔍 Vacation Rental Trends to Watch in 2026

Remember right after COVID when everyone was trying to identify the trend that would define travel?

The reality now is this: there isn’t just one trend anymore. Travel continues to evolve, and every year brings new shifts in how, when, and why guests book.

For 2026, we're seeing a few things already:
🔹 Travelers are booking later and more intentionally, focused on experiences and value.
🔹 Narrative pricing (telling the story behind your price) matters more than ever.
🔹 Professional management and strong listing quality are outpacing the broader market.
🔹 Demand is clustering around major events and local experiences, not just seasons.
🔹 Operators who leverage real-time data and strategic positioning will outperform the competition.

I shared a great article breaking this down, link in the comments 👇
The takeaway? Adaptability is the trend.

🚀 Growth & Marketing Advisory

I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside a range of vacation rental and hospitality brands working to grow bookings, improve operations, and build stronger relationships with their guests and owners.

Through those experiences, I’ve seen firsthand how small shifts in marketing strategy, booking experience, and partnerships can make a meaningful difference for operators trying to grow while still managing the day-to-day realities of the business.

Areas I’m often helping teams think through include:
✔ Marketing and growth strategy
✔ Driving more direct bookings and improving margins
✔ Booking flow and conversion improvements
✔ Campaign and partnership ideas

If you’d ever like to connect or swap ideas, I’m always happy to chat and share insights!

Yesterday I shared that I’m making this advisory work official so today I wanted to share what that actually means.

Over the last few years I’ve worked with operators, hospitality brands, and small businesses on things like:

• clarifying their messaging
• improving guest communication
• refining pricing/booking strategy
• building partnerships
• organizing their customer workflows
• elevating the experience (online and onsite)

It’s rarely about doing “more.” It’s usually about doing the right things more clearly and more consistently.

If you’re in travel, rentals, hospitality, or lifestyle brands, this is the space I love and where I’ve spent much of my time.

Appreciate all the support and kind messages already. Truly. 💛

I’ve been helping hospitality and rental operators on the side since COVID, mostly with business development, operations, marketing, and guest experience. I never planned on turning it into anything formal, but the work continued, and I realized it’s something I genuinely enjoy. So I’m making it official and calling it Victoria Ebert Advisory .

I like helping small and mid-sized operators who don’t have full teams, fancy agencies, or extra hours in their day. A lot of the work is simple: fixing something that’s stuck, creating structure, improving guest experience, or helping show the world what someone already does well.

It’s been rewarding in a quiet way, enough that it made sense to give it a name and a space. No big launch, just putting a name on the work I’m already doing. 😊
