To Teach:

“To impart knowledge, transfer skills, or guide someone toward a new understanding.”

Wild to think Love Songs On Sunday’s was only a week ago… so much has already happened since then, but I didn’t want to go too long without sharing some sights and sounds from it all.

Honestly, it truly felt like a dream come true.
As I was setting up and walking the property sourcing plants and natural elements, I kept channeling my younger self and saying:

“We did it bruh… we really out here teaching terrarium building workshops.”

I’m incredibly grateful to have shared such a beautiful space with so many amazing people… and the wild part is, there’s MORE on the way.

Amazing things have happened since I made the decision to slow down.

• I’ve become more aware of my mental state and emotions, which has helped me better recognize the spaces I truly resonate with… and the ones I don’t.

• I’ve been reminded that doing things you genuinely love, especially in service to others, is worthwhile and deeply beneficial for my mental health.

• I’ve been reminded that if there is real heart, intention, and kindness at the root of what I do, nothing can stop me.

• I’ve been reminded that I am an artist. Just because my art form doesn’t look like most doesn’t make it any less valuable.

• I’ve been reminded that real community DOES exist… and when we work together, we all eat, we all benefit, and we all grow together.

And most importantly …since this is social media after all… I’m reminded that even though I don’t post every single day or keep up with every feed…Life still goes on.

I’ll keep saying this forever:

DO MORE of what you love.
BE KIND to yourself and others.
DON’T be afraid to try stuff.
YOUR ideas are amazing!

Proud dad moment over here 🥹

I’m shouting from the rooftop… (okay, really from the living room 😅) because my baby boy is officially an exhibiting artist!

His piece, “The After Explosion,” alongside 39 other collaborative works, will be on display at May 22–31 as part of “Root & Reach” a curated intergenerational exhibition created in collaboration with and Westminster-Canterbury on the Bay.

🌟This spring, students from Organic Beginnings Montessori and senior residents from Westminster-Canterbury gathered weekly through the Root & Reach Intergenerational Art Program, presented in partnership with OMA Art and The Creative Well Arts Foundation.

Together, participants explored abstract artmaking through collaborative prompts centered around curiosity, storytelling, play, observation, and shared decision-making.🌟

What I love most about programs like this is the reminder that creativity has no age limit. Art becomes a bridge, creating space for empathy, confidence, imagination, and genuine human connection across generations! Through slowing down together, sharing stories, and creating side by side, students and seniors built something really meaningful ❤️

Over 40 collaborative pieces were created this season and each artwork available through silent auction benefiting continued programming and participating educational initiatives.

I repeat … this dad is incredibly proud 🙌🏾🖼️✨

Show extra support for these amazing artists by attending the opening reception this Friday 5/22 from 6-8pm at … see you there!

Sharing a little behind the scenes to my process as I prepare for the terrarium workshop at later today 🌱

Up-cycling ♻️ trash takes a bit more effort and work than just going to buy new, but it provides that extra special layering of good energy and resonance.

The simple act of me pouring time into these vessels, getting them cleaned up primed for you to then intentionally build your own micro ecosystem brings a whole level of appreciation to the craft that I hope you all feel!

Shout out to Mr. Red for the encouragement!

While making fish tacos for Cinco de Mayo, I realized how many times I relied on tap water without even thinking about it… thawing the fish, rinsing veggies, cooking, cleaning dishes afterward.

Water quietly supports so much of our everyday lives.

Grateful to live in a region with access to clean, reliable drinking water every time we turn on the tap 💧

Thanks to for partnering with me during National Drinking Water Week.

5/5/25 🌱

During my social hiatus I took a seasonal part time job at a Lowe’s Garden Center back home.

For the most part it was cool… waking up with the sun to get to the store at 6am to water plants all morning. Helping customers find plants & flowers that best fit their homes, yards and gardens.

But the best part was my daily hauls of plant “trash.” Bags of clippings of philodendron, pothos, and succulents… heavily discounted plants or ones destined for the big green dumpster because they no longer met the requirements to stay on the sales floor.

took this photo of me one afternoon while I was tending to my collection.

But this was more than a collection. It was the byproduct of healing. The byproduct of once again choosing a path with no real certainty and somehow still finding peace on the other side.

This was a pivotal season in my life and career. For years I lived with all eyes on me in some capacity, constantly creating, sharing, documenting, moving. But when you step away from that light for a while, something interesting happens…

You stop seeing everyone’s updates.
You stop getting lost in the noise.
The sauce.
The performance.
The pressure to constantly “be on.”

And life just… keeps going.

Honestly, I think that’s the magic.

Now that I’ve been back on social, I catch myself stressing again:

“Should this be a story? A reel? A carousel? What’s the algorithm want? What’s the “right” thing to post?”

Meanwhile my camera roll is overflowing with actual life.
Friends.
Family.
Quiet moments.
Random adventures.
Nature.
Joy.
Growth.

Little things that probably won’t “perform” but meant something to me while I was living them.

I’m starting to realize maybe the goal isn’t to make every moment content.

Maybe it’s just to live deeply enough that whatever gets shared carries something real with it.

I still feel the same way about terrariums…
that sense of wonder never really left me.

Holding a tiny world in your hands… something you created… something alive… something constantly shifting and responding… it does something to you.

But lately, I’ve been thinking about how that experience doesn’t have to start when we build the terrarium…

It starts the moment we step outside.

The moment we slow down.
The moment we notice.
The moment we reconnect.

That’s what this one is about.

This Sunday, I’m teaming up with my friend Namuli to create something a little deeper… a little more immersive.

While I guide you through building your own terrarium, Namuli will be holding space through an Earth sensory experience… inviting you to tap into instinct, creativity, and the natural rhythm that already lives within you.

This isn’t just a workshop.
It’s a reset.
A return.
A chance to ground yourself in something real.

I set up a terrarium workshop for a group of about 20 teens and it was absolutely incredible…Thank you for the opportunity to bring something new to the group!

If you’d asked me,

“What brings you joy?”

This would definitely rank pretty high on my list!

To see them light up and just go at it was beautiful. They were so engaged and focused. While everyone used similar materials, each of their terrariums were all so different from the next. A cool part was watching them move about the room excited to show them off. But my favorite was my son excitedly jumping in to be my helper 🥹

There is a TON of science behind the major health benefits when you regularly take breaks from your phone/devices.

These workshops are designed to provide that exactly. A fully immersive experience to explore other parts of your mental capacity with a guided connection to nature with layers of lessons in ecosystems, biology, the water cycle, and SO much more.

I’m actively scheduling workshops and seeking partnerships with organizations that prioritize the well-being and growth of their teams and communities.

These experiences are ideal for boosting morale, fostering real authentic connection, and creating space for often, a much needed intentional reset.

At the same time, I’m also looking to collaborate with nonprofits and aligned partners to develop funded models that allow these workshops to be offered for FREE to communities, ensuring accessibility while maintaining sustainability.

If this sounds like a fit, let’s connect and make it happen. I look forward to collaborating to bring this experience to your team or community!

Feel that?!

The sun is shining longer, the buds on the trees and flowers are popping, you are feeling lighter, maybe feeling a bit more in tune with yourself, thoughts and emotions… or, being real, them allergies starting to kick in a little?

That’s the spring (vernal) equinox🌿!

The term comes from the Latin words aequus, meaning equal, and nox, meaning night.

“According to the National Weather Service, an equinox occurs twice each year, when the Earth’s axis isn’t tilted toward or away from the sun, resulting in a day with an almost equal amount of daylight and darkness at all latitudes.”

For many the spring equinox is celebrated as an awakening. It signifying nature’s rebirth from winter, inspiring personal renewal, planting of new intentions, and increased energy.

Now is the time to open your windows and doors to clear our old, stale energy, making way for that new new. And not just windows in your crib, the windows to your mind, soul, spirit and heart.

Push out the negative energy⚡️/noise & nonsense. Say no to things that don’t serve you, that s**t has been holding you back, from being your truest and fullest self.

Dead the self doubt… say “so long” to that seasonal depression or feelings of cloudy uncertainty and say, “WELCOME” and “WHATS GOOD?!” to new light, life and love🙌🏾

NOW is the time for figurative and literal transformation, bruh… let’s get it, you are worthy!
