Ever wondered how custom designs get printed onto shirts and merch? Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at screen printing in action:
In the first image, Ben is using a pressure washer to clean a screen. This removes old ink and clears out the stencil so it can be reused. Keeping screens clean is essential for sharp, accurate designs.
In the second image, an automated screen printing press is applying ink onto a surface (like a t-shirt). Ink is pushed through a mesh screen using a squeegee, but only in the areas defined by the stencil—this is how the design is transferred with precision.
Each color in a design is applied one layer at a time, making alignment and setup critical. The result? Durable, high-quality prints that can handle repeated wear and washing.
From cleaning to printing, every step plays a role in creating the final product you see on shelves.
