SPOTLIGHT ON GOLD CIRCLE INDUCTEE: GARY MEADOWS! 💫

Gary Meadows, a native of Atlanta, started his career at WQXI-TV in 1973 while attending Northside High in Buckhead, which later became WXIA-TV, . He began as a production assistant and then to Engineering as a projectionist before leaving in 1976 to serve in the Navy aboard nuclear submarines and also participated in the Armed Forces Radio and Television. Returning in 1981, he quickly moved up to Technical Director and then Director. Gary’s work earned recognition from the Southeast Chapter of NATAS and the Pioneer Award from the AABJ.
His talents led him to opportunities nationwide, directing and freelancing in major markets. Gary founded Meadows Media LLC, offering web, graphic, and video solutions. He is dedicated to mentoring future media professionals One of Gary’s most memorable experiences was teaching video shooting and editing to kids at an orphanage in Africa, specifically at the St. Carl Home of the Champions School in Kenya. As the Multimedia Supervisor for the City of Aiken, Gary’s vision for communication has elevated the city. He continues to mentor young professionals. He is supported by his devoted wife Evelyn daughters Jai-Sheena and Ursula, and grandsons Angelo and Liam.
