🎬 Ce samedi : Mon Vélo à Glen Echo Park !
Nous sommes heureux de voir un film issu de la sélection 2024 des Rencontres Cinématographiques du DMV continuer son chemin et rencontrer de nouveaux publics dans notre communauté.
Ce samedi 5 septembre, Mon Vélo, court métrage de 12 minutes réalisé par Francky Tohouegnon, du Bénin, sera présenté à Glen Echo Park dans le cadre de Global Rhythms : Music, Dance & Storytelling from Around the World.
Le film raconte l'histoire d'Oumar, un garçon de 12 ans qui rêve de posséder un vélo, et l'aventure inattendue qui naît de ses rêves, de son amitié et de son imagination.

This month, The Pan-African Fabric arrives at the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art.

Nine African countries.
Five regions of the continent.
One shared fabric.
Nine distinct creative interpretations.

And one Pan-African vision of unity.

Today, we begin with Cameroon 🇨🇲 — where the journey to the Smithsonian began with our first Pan-African Fabric Designer Competition.

On September 26, 2026, Cameroon’s creations will join those from eight other African countries at The Inaugural Pan-African Fabric & Fashion Showcase at the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art in Washington, D.C.
