America's 250th is a once-in-a-generation moment — and the rare time patriotic branding actually lands instead of feeling forced.

Everyone's celebrating. Press is covering it. Social's flooded with it. Your branded moment doesn't have to do all the work — the cultural moment's already there. You just have to show up.
We're six weeks out. "We didn't have time" is the most expensive sentence in marketing — so let's not.

Our 250th trend shop is live on brandsxkarst.com. Pre-curated, on-trend, ready to brand.

When brands buy merch, they fixate on unit cost. But the real cost is what happens after the handoff.

Here’s a simple example:
--250 keychains at $0.99 = $247.50. If only 20% get kept and used a handful of times → $0.50 per use
---50 charm keychains at $15 = $750. If most get kept and used daily → ~$0.09 per use

The merch that gets used is usually cheaper over time—and it generates real brand impressions.

A proud moment for the Karst team.
Michelle Harris, was named to the 2026 Powerhouse Women of Promo list featured on the Between 2 Brands podcast—an annual recognition of women who are shaping the future of the branded merchandise industry.

If you’ve worked with Michelle, you know exactly what they meant when they said she “sees the world differently.” That perspective has helped build Karst into the creative, strategic partner our clients rely on today.

Congratulations to Michelle and to all of the incredible women recognized this year.

Mardi Gras is banning plastic beads… and the internet thinks we’ve entered the flying grocery era.

The real story? It’s less chaos, more sustainability, and a big lesson for brands still handing out forgettable merch.

What happens when tradition meets environmental reality (and what smart brands should learn from it)

We broke down what’s actually happening in New Orleans — what’s replacing the beads — and what smart brands should learn from the craziness (plus a live link to watch it unfold).

Check it out!

Everyone talks about the Super Bowl ads.

We’ve been paying attention to what brands did around them.

This year’s game brought more than commercials — it brought cultural extensions:

Dunkin’s DunKings drop that sold out fast.
King’s Hawaiian’s playful “Soft Fans” apparel.
Miller Lite’s limited QR code jerseys that turned fans into interactive billboards.
Kawasaki’s unforgettable “Mullets” campaign.
Bad Bunny’s co-branded NFL merch tied to the halftime moment.

What makes these interesting isn’t just the product.

It’s how they kept the story going after kickoff.

When brands think beyond airtime, the impact lasts longer.

Which one stood out most to you?

Most people shop merch by unit cost.
We encourage clients to shop it by impact.

A lower-priced item might feel like the safer choice—but if it doesn’t last, it’s not actually saving you money.

When you factor in longevity, visibility, and repeat use, higher-quality merch often delivers a lower cost per impression and a stronger brand experience.

Before choosing the cheapest option, do the math.
