Applications are now open for our annual Summer Youth Internship Program!

This six-week program provides teenagers and young adults an opportunity to develop workplace readiness skills and gain hands-on experience in a variety of county departments.

Internships will run from Friday, June 12 to Thursday, July 23, and accepted applicants will earn $15 per hour, working approximately 20 hours per week.

The key is to be able to bypass AI software. These softwares are designed to filter out applications that do not fit the description. Yes you need to have more than one resume. Yes you may have to consolidate your jobs.

YES JOBS ARE STILL HIRING. Yes, a reasonable pay hourly amount are still being offered.

Those that graduated college between the years of 2008-2019 has too experienced a job recession. The key is temp employment. Employers are still hiring, however it’s time consuming to find 1 person out of 100. Also, employers still have to train that person, what if it doesn’t work out? Then they’re back at square one.

The key is temp agencies and employment. Still have a resume ready that way they can put you at a position that aligns with your experience. Also, sometimes these temp agencies have temp-to-hire positions. Meaning, after 90 days or a certain amount of hours, you’ll be hired on permanently.
