Dr Darria Long Gillespie tells us at the that only 7% of women feel like they can do everything expected of them and the “do it all discrepancy” as we deal with all the increasing demands on us. Three ways to become un-overwhelmable:

1️⃣ TRIAGE - Lower & prioritize demands. Learn how to identify red (must-important)/yellow (distracting)/green (get in way of reds) items on your list. Delete some items off your list + automate decisions where you can and Batch the Small Sh!* (BTSS = greens) so they don’t get in the way!

2️⃣ MONITOR INPUT - after women devour content on social media they feel self comparison, envy, worry… and it outpaces optimism and pride. What to do? Be aware of your feelings on social - unfollow accounts when you need to! Always ask yourself: “is this true and the full context” - every post is a “tiny slice”… curate your own following.

3️⃣ FOSTER YOUR SENSE OF COHERENCE - understand the greater context, feel like you can do something about it + meaning in it. How? Find your agency - the people you can reach out to? Where do you have control? We all need Micro-Recoveries - make sure you take small amounts of time to normalize and de-stress!! Savor gratefulness and think ICBW = It Could be Worse! And don’t forget Meaning-Digging to find good takeaways from every experience!
