Announcing the Retirement of Peggy! 📣

After an incredible journey with us, Peggy is retiring! We are grateful for her dedication and hard work, most recently as an Account Manager. Here’s a glimpse into her remarkable career:

What have you liked most about your career?
"I enjoyed my travels visiting numerous dealers. It was great to tour their stores, meet their staff, and learn how they promoted our product. Attending bridal shows and talking to brides about their invitation ideas was a highlight. I also loved conducting training sessions and participating in Vendor Week. Meeting our dealers in person and attending the New York Stationery Show for many years was a fantastic experience!"

Do you have a funny work memory to share?
"Driving in Las Vegas for a tradeshow with paper copies of MapQuest led me to a construction site with no road! Another time, I flew to Chicago O’Hare airport during a power outage—no lights or air conditioning. I finally found my check-in station after hours in the dark. What an adventure!"

Any workplace advice for the rest of us?
My advice is be flexible, be kind, listen, take on new
challenges, support your team and it is never too
late to start investing your money!

Peggy is looking forward to spending more time with her family and friends!

This beautiful lady is celebrating 50 years with our organization and retiring on the same day! We are certainly going to miss you, Linda! Your incredible smile, laughter, optimism, and energy are infectious! We wish you all the best in your retirement.

We recently interviewed Linda, and here are a few highlights.
Q: How many years have you worked with Taylor?
A: It will be 50 YEARS on June 19th, 2024!

Q: What was your very first position with the company?
A: I was hired as Bill Carlson’s assistant. Bill was the founder of Carlson Letter Service and the person who hired Glen Taylor. I started in the “Blue Building” in lower North Mankato.

Q: What have you liked most about your career?
A: Long-time friendships and lasting relationships
with wonderful co-workers and incredible customers. The opportunity to travel for dealer visits, tradeshows, conferences,
bridal shows, etc. I also really liked training and
mentoring new employees.

Q: What are you looking forward to most in retirement?
A: Traveling and spending more time with family and friends.

Q: Any workplace advice for the rest of us?
A: Embrace change and accept new challenges. Be flexible. Treat everyone with respect. Communication is so important.
