Since moving to North Oaks, I’ve gotten involved with a nonprofit called North Oaks Heart for Children. It’s a 100% volunteer-led group that started pretty organically — just a group of women who wanted to use their time and resources to give back in a meaningful way.

One of the things I love most about it is how intentional and hands-on it is. I’ve been helping with the website and design work through my business, Shadeflower Studios, as part of my Giving Garden Initiative.

We’re coming up on our Art with Heart event, and I wanted to share it here because it’s truly something special. Artists from across Minnesota will be showcasing their work, and one of the most meaningful pieces of the event is that each artist is creating a work inspired by art made by a child undergoing cancer treatment at Children’s Minnesota.

There will also be live demos and family-friendly activities, and all proceeds go directly to children’s cancer research at Children’s Minnesota.

I am so excited to announce the launch of Twin Cities Reiki Master’s redesigned website — designed by yours truly here at Shadeflower Studios.

This website was created to feel alive.

Every element was crafted with intention—from symbolic details woven quietly throughout the design, to subtle motion on each page that reflects the flow of energy, light, and connection at the heart of their work.

I’m so proud to have been part of this wonderful event. Not only have I made a whole bunch of new friends in my neighborhood, but we’ve raised a good sum of cash for children’s cancer research! Stay tuned for our Art with Heart event in the spring!

I am very proud to be a part of the making of this wonderful event for North Oaks Heart for Children - a 501(c)(3) that raises money for cancer research for Children's MN. While I sadly am not able to make this event - I really hope you will consider it. Enjoy a delicious dinner, poker and blackjack, a silent auction, and a whiskey tasting while helping children with cancer.
