Did you know that in addition to printing shirts, Natalie’s mission is to help sea turtles? Florida is home to a wide variety of sea turtles who need our help to continue to thrive in these environments. Natalie is permitted through FFWC and volunteers with Sea Turtle Conservation League of Singer Island! You may notice some familiar printing and embroidering on the volunteers shirts and gear as it’s specifically crafted in the shop!

Monday morning was her first shift with a nest to mark and it happened to be her favorite sea turtle- the leatherback!

Fun facts about Leatherback Sea Turtles

-They are nicknamed the “Living Fossils” because they are the most prehistoric turtle

-They can grow to be over 6 feet long and up to 2,000 lbs

- One unique characteristic of the Leatherback is that instead of a hard shell like the other turtles, they have a leathery carapace with 7 ridges to help them adjust to different diving depths

-Speaking of diving, they can dive over 4,000 feet

-Their cuisine of choice? Jellyfish! Now that’s a shock!
