Hey, friends!

After more than a year of being legally separated from my spouse, I'm finally moving back into my house and am in the process of putting my sewing room back together.

Yes, with the exception of a couple of small projects, I've not done any sewing between my last post and now.

I'm looking forward to putting this awful chapter in my life behind me and getting back to my favorite hobby.

I've also gotten into 3D printing, so you'll be seeing me change up my page dynamics a little bit.

But first, getting through this wretched wreck. Gah! I don't even know where to start! 😬😵‍💫😵

About a month ago, we got a cat. I haven't had a cat in over 20 years. My daughter had a pair of unicorn Jammies she busted the zipper out on and grew out of. They were just sitting around my sewing room, so I decided to repurpose them.

It may not be all that pretty, but Kitty approves!

It's teacher appreciation week at School. Tuesday was make your teacher a card day. We took it a step farther and made Sweet Pea's owl mug rug. My oldest has made this one a few times, but this was my youngest daughter's first time. She helped pick out fabrics for her fairy bag awhile back, but this really was her first project. This is a little different from some of the other video posts I have made. There is some footage in there, but it's mostly pictures. I spent most of my time helping my kiddos and tending to the machines in this on, so getting actual footage was pretty difficult to juggle. Anyways, enjoy!

I don't really make clothes, but I wanted to try something different. I have been slowly working on this Kirby skirt for awhile. I didn't record myself making this one because I wasn't sure how it would turn out, but I am really happy with the results!

How do you mend a broken heart?

Well, you can't. But we sure can try to stitch it all back together, can't we? We can only do what we feel is best as we walk through the trials of life. Most of you are on my friends list. So you probably already know about the loss of my dogs, Colby and Jack.

Losing my boys has been very hard on me. Especially Colby. He was my boy, and we did everything together. It's the hardest loss of a pet I have ever had to go through!

But enough of me being sad...

This blanket is one that I started a very long time ago... And only made it through a night before Colby ate a bunch of holes in it. I share my story about this blanket in the video, followed by the little bit of repair footage I got of it in the end.

My oldest is trying to grow her bangs out. She's at that stage where she can't really do much with them, and she's struggling to keep them out of her face. I have some cotton Lycra, so I decided to figure out how to make them twisty headbands. They came out pretty cool!

Don't mind the spaghetti stain or the photo bombing dog. We just got back from camping and he's been up our hind ends!

Oh, how I love making things for people I care about! One of my troops recently had a baby. So I made Sweet Pea's Dinosaur Baby Quilt to fit her nursery theme. It took me several months to put together, but I finally finished and now that it's made it to it's home, here is part 1 of putting it together!
