They dropped in my email this morning, from Susan Henry, so Susan as a toddler took 2nd place in the Miss Pears Soap competition, we're talking about 60 to 63 years ago. I as a very young aspiring professional photographer created these images. Yes I clearly remember, Susan, her parents and grandparents, and the photoshoots.
Susan's grand father used to service my wrist watches.

Almost all of 2022 has been spent on the road, conducting portrait shoots in several other states around USA, as a result I have not been available to local clients who were planning on updating their corporate headshots,
So this coming Thursday, Dec 13th 2022, I will conduct a series of sessions here at my home studio, already some spots have been taken by one of my regular clients, Wiplfi, but some time slots are still available.
We will be working with a graduated grey backdrop, pleasant studio lighting and composing from half length to tight heads as required for most corporate requirements.

As simple as most people think a headshot is, it is quite possibly one of the the most important images anyone will ever have created. On the one hand it has less than ten seconds to create a good impression about you, if it will be used on a web or printed page of corporate pictures the colour and density of all the photos should be a perfect match. Especially if all the pictures on the page are representing the same company. A mismatch looks like the page was thrown together by a novice.
On the other hand it is amazing just how many people think they can get away with cell phone selfies or close cropped vacation snaps. Corporate headshots, business and professional portraits are unquestionably among the most important weapons in a business armoury. The investment is relatively small as a proportion of the general advertising budget but is so invaluable as a a representation of the company image and professionalism.

While we're so accustomed to seeing wedding photo in colour in recent years, especially beautiful and colourful Indian and Pakistani weddings, it is amazing just how dramatic a few monochrome images can look captured at the right moments.

The advent of Covid-19 has just about decimated family portraiture for the year 2020, and in a country whose photographically recorded history is second to none on the planet, it is an unprecedented disaster, as without printed pictures, our history is disappearing as it unfolds.
