Most business owners don't have five extra hours a week sitting around waiting to be filled with content calendars and marketing plans. That's not reality.

But if you had one focused hour, would you know exactly what to do with it?

That's what this week's blog is all about: The 1-Hour Marketing Plan for Busy Business Owners.

Is this more doable? We'd love to hear from you.

Marketing is important. So is serving your clients, managing your team, answering emails, and everything else on your plate.

If you're struggling to keep up with it all, keep an eye on this space. Something new is coming.

Hot take: You don't need more content ideas.

Come on, you're probably swimming in ideas, free downloads, saved posts, and FAQs. The real problem is: What do you do with them? And WHEN do you have time to sit down and figure it out?

We don't need more ideas, we just need more time to implement and maybe a buddy to help us stay focused.

What do you think? I'd love to hear from you.

Marketing Lesson from Disney: people will pay more when they believe the value is worth it.

We're just back from a Disneyworld vacation, and it reminds me how much small business owners can learn there about marketing.

For example: there were a few newer, popular rides we wanted to make sure we didn't miss. So we paid a little extra to skip the lines! Proof that for some people, saving an hour is worth paying for, and for others, it isn't.

Small business owners often struggle with pricing because they assume everyone shops the same way, but it's not true. Some clients prioritize price, others quality, others convenience or speed. Your job isn't to be just the cheapest option, but to clearly communicate the value of what you offer.

What's your pricing strategy?

June is Entrepreneurs "Do It Yourself" Marketing Month. And before you roll your eyes at another silly observance, I think this one highlights something small business owners deal with every day: when you're in charge of your own marketing, it's easy to fall into the trap of constantly learning instead of doing.

But you don't have to be an expert! You just have to create a realistic plan that works for your business, your schedule, and your customers.

Success doesn't come from more knowledge; it comes from doing the basics, consistently. So here's your reminder:

All you need is a plan you'll actually use. If you need a partner to help you create it, that's what we're here for.

Small business marketing has to work in real life, not just in theory.

You’re trying to run a business, not become a full-time marketing expert. Even the best marketing plan won’t work if you don’t have the time, energy, or capacity to actually implement it.

Can't remember the last time you updated your Google Business Profile? Yeah, me either. 🤣 So we wrote a blog about it!

The next “big thing” in marketing might actually be… analog.

Digital marketing isn't dead, but people are overwhelmed by constant scrolling, notifications, and AI-generated everything. So every time we help a small business build a marketing plan, we add at least ONE activity that doesn't involve a screen.

The businesses standing out right now are creating real human connection:
☕ face-to-face networking
📬 handwritten notes
🎪 community events
🤝 genuine conversations

Digital marketing still matters. But nothing beats a real-world connection.
