Day 6 of the Warrior Games! 🏃‍♂️☀️🇺🇸

After an amazing day at SeaWorld, our alarms went off bright and early because we needed to be at the track by 7:00 a.m.!

We spent the morning cheering on all the incredible athletes competing in Track & Field. James competed in his wheelchair track events, and the kids even had the opportunity to participate in their own track and field activities, which made the day even more special.

Now, can we talk about the heat? 🥵 I’m not going to lie, it was brutal! It definitely reminded me of one thing I do not miss about living in the South.

After a long day at the track, we headed back to the hotel to cool off and recharge before making our way to the convention center. The evening was filled with dinner, kids’ activities, catching up with friends, and cheering on our Navy Wheelchair Rugby team.

It was a long, hot, and memorable day, but these are the moments we’ll never forget. 💙⚓

Day 5 of the Warrior Games! 🌊💙

Today was exactly what we needed, a slower day to rest, recharge, and simply enjoy being together as a family.

We were able to sleep in, take things easy, and then spend the day at SeaWorld. The kids were so excited, and honestly, so was I. With the next few days being busy for James and his competitions, it was nice to slow down and enjoy these moments together.

We had an amazing day making family memories and meeting new friends along the way.

Feeling grateful for this journey, the people we’ve met, and the opportunity to experience it all together. ❤️

Day 4 of the Warrior Games! 🎯🇺🇸

We woke up to rain this morning, but that didn’t stop us from getting up early to cheer on James in his first archery competition.

He started strong and gave it everything he had. While he didn’t advance to the next round, I couldn’t be more proud of him. The Warrior Games are about so much more than medals—they’re about resilience, perseverance, and showing up despite the challenges. James did the very best he could with the circumstances he faced, and that alone is something to celebrate. ❤️

After the competition, we enjoyed some family time with James’s sister over dinner before ending the night cheering from the sidelines at the Air Force vs. Army wheelchair basketball game. 🏀

Day 3 of the Warrior Games! 🇺🇸💙⚓

Today was all about finding the perfect balance between competition, preparation, and fun. We spent the day exploring San Antonio, cheering on the cyclists, and watching James put in the work during archery practice as he prepares for his upcoming competition.

We also took some time to enjoy a SeaWorld animal show a much needed break in the middle of an exciting week. The day ended on a high note as we cheered on our Navy wheelchair basketball team and showed our support from the sidelines.

Day 2 of the Warrior Games! 🇺🇸💪

Today was packed with excitement! We spent time exploring the convention center, connecting with vendors, and cheering on the athletes during pickleball and powerlifting competitions.

After a short break, we headed to the River Walk for the boat parade with all the competitors. It was incredible to see the crowd cheering everyone on and, of course, enjoy some friendly banter between the military branches.

The evening ended with a wonderful reception featuring Ballet Folklórico and Mariachi performances, celebrating the rich culture and spirit of San Antonio. It was the perfect way to wrap up an unforgettable day!

We’re here in San Antonio and ready for the Warrior Games!

I’ll try to share our journey each day at this incredible event. There’s so much to see, do, and experience that I know I won’t be able to capture it all, but we’re excited to take it all in and cheer on these amazing athletes.
