In this creative watercolor workshop, students will begin by creating expressive, abstract watercolor paintings using a variety of techniques. Once the paintings are dry, participants will transform their work into a reverse coloring or doodle style piece by adding lines on top of the painted surface. By responding to the colors and shapes already on the page, students allow the artwork to guide the drawing process, flipping traditional coloring on its head. The result is a playful, intuitive finish piece that blends watercolor painting with illustration and pattern.

Hello everyone since a few folks know already just wanted to let everyone know April is at home with a long recovery for her hand.

On Friday morning an accident occurred at April's office whom you know she owns a commercial printing company so they deal in lots of paper and printing and stuff like that. The office is still open and the other staff member and designers / production team can assist anybody that relies on her office.

An accident occurred where during the delivery of a lot of paper a table/shelf sort of apparatus used for holding lots of paper was used as an intermittary transport from the truck to the building setting it on the table between the two and while she was there at the table the table collapsed The welded edge broke which supports the legs to the table and it collapsed grabbing a hold of her hand which we do not believe she was lifting the table or anything she just had her fingers on the edge and when it broke the metal grabbed a hold of her digging into her skin and pulling her to the ground severing her ring finger end just below the final knuckle and severely damaging her index and middle fingers. She was transported to local hospital who cleaned and prepped it to be transported to another hospital to see a hand specialist however transport wasn't available so I assisted in getting her up to Pittsburgh to see the hand doctor up there at Allegheny general who was the only one available within 5 hours of here Friday morning for some reason. She did end up losing the end of her ring finger due to the damage in other complications that pertain to her and her unique situation. However they have hoped that the second surgery that was done Saturday morning will retain most of her strength and movement in her middle finger and all signs are positive on her index finger as far as there was no tendon or nerve damage just severe cut on that finger They did have to repair the middle finger tendon flexor for midfinger and a vein and nerve however the surgeon and their team were very hopeful that she'll get most of her strength and mobility back in that finger as well just not 100%. She has many weeks of recovery and many months of total recovery following that.

Just passing that along We do not need any extra assistance now. I will be assisting her with everything at her office just more so that I normally do because we all know that she is a tough one and will not stay at home. Hopefully she will see you all soon too.

So if anybody wants just think positive thoughts for her but that's about all she would need she is comfortable at home right now.
