This AI stuff is both scary and amazing!
Most of my friends may know that in approximately 2005, I suffered an attack of Bell's Palsy. It changed my life. The left side of my face has never recovered from the paralysis and continues to degenerate. This is a nerve disease; the nerves no longer speak to the muscles there. This has resulted in the loss of the nearly symmetrical face of my youth. It has reshaped my face, creating TMJ issues, vision issues, and self-confidence issues. My smile, one of my favorite aspects of my face, pulls to the right, so I don't smile nearly as often as I feel it makes me look ugly - and believe me, being able to smile directly correlates to my outlook and personality.
I was working in Atlanta at the time, and when it came to team photos for our website, the photographer edited by copying the right side of my face to the left side of my face using Photoshop. That was pretty cool at the time. Flash forward to today, when I again find myself in need of a good photo. Being unhappy with the selfies and the snapshots on my husband's phone and not wanting to use the pictures of my younger days or a heavily photoshopped image, I decided to use InstaHeadshot.com. I paid $69 and uploaded 10 photos, some current from the past three years and some from my younger days. I am still determining what I expected; however, the results are fascinating.
