Whew!! WHAT A MONTH!! 😅

I’ve been a little MIA lately while prepping for the holidays and pouring my heart into my studies. It has been an eventful month, to say the least!

I celebrated my 34th birthday this month! 🎂 To be honest, I never thought I would make it this far in life or have so much to be thankful for. My amazing husband, my beautiful children, and a career that is finally taking off—I feel so incredibly blessed.

My journey at Full Sail University continues to blow my mind. I just passed Marketing Law and Contracts with a 100 A! 🎉 Jan 1st marks one full year since I started this degree, and I’m more determined than ever to finish at the top of my class.

I also have to shout out Mamasquatch Makes Art LLC . We’ve been busy volunteering for two charities and three community events this month. Seeing those smiles is the best gift I could ask for!
This year has had its stressful moments, but it has been a beautiful awakening. I can't wait to see what the rest of the year holds!

So I recently started this in my face painting community, but feel confident enough that I could apply this to many other businesses. 🤔

I am hoping to share some of my marketing and graphic design skills and offer to create digital flyers and promotional material that can be printed out or shared on social media. Since I do spend money on the programs I am using to create these, I would ask for a donation of $5 per page. I can add graphics, animate, photoshop, create QR codes, and develop campaigns all based on your brand voice, tone, and goals. I'm not a printing or graphic design business and do not replace professional establishments, but I can help some local businesses create material they wouldn't have otherwise.

I have added some examples of my work below, and you can also check out my LinkedIn page for some of the professional presentations I have created (link below). Some are from my amateur work but shows the different graphic design skills I am proficient in. With my artistic skills, elevated products, and marketing abilities, I am able to achieve the desired look. If anyone would be interested in something like this or have any pointers on things I could include please reach out!

As a mom, I get burnt out, run down, and just plain wiped sometimes! I don't want to be positive, get that out of my face. I don't want to talk, sshhhh. I don't want to anything, and don't even get me started on solving EVERYONE's problems!

We run into problems everyday in our personal and professional lives. I thought really deeply about what keeps me grounded when the world feels like it is spinning too fast for me to keep up.

"Mom's 5 Tips on Keeping Your Ish Together".

1. I get to.
I am a healthy, able-bodied adult with 4 children and a husband who depend on me. Life got hard quick and it's easy to lose sight of what really matters. I woke up this morning - some people didn't. My daughter gave me kisses this morning - some don't even see their children anymore. I had food in fridge to feed my kids and clean clothes to send them to school in - not everyone has that luxury. Count your blessings.

2. Repurpose and Reuse.
If it worked before, it will work again. This doesn't just go for content. We can repurpose and reuse the lessons we teach and learn on a daily basis. This is a skill I am teaching my children. I share things that I have learned in school, on the job, and living life in general on a level that they can understand and apply at their ages. This works in a professional setting as well. Getting your team altogether on the same page can be daunting, consistent communication and reminders and sticking to the methods that work pays off in the end.

3. Divide and Conquer!
LAUNDRY. If that is all I have to say for you to feel overwhelmed, this one is for you. Looking at a mountain of laundry with a screaming toddler, 3 older kids asking for snacks, stickers, and markers while their clean laundry sits unfolded, two assignments due, and dinner on the stove can be a lot to handle at one time. So can day to day tasks in just about anyone's life. Divide the tasks into manageable micro-goals to better preserve your time and energy. Tell them kids no, throw a load in while dinner is cooking and handle those assignments while you're eating👌!

4. Pick your battles.
Is that spilled coffee going to ruin your entire day? Did the crayon marks on the wall really take THAT much effort to erase? Is that task your boss gave you last week you let sit on the back burner really the cause of your stress? Don't lose your cool over things that are either preventable or easy to fix. Fix it and move on. If it's your fault, accept that responsibility and make it right. Complaining or grumbling about it doesn't get it done.

And last, but not least...

5. YOU'RE GROUNDED!
Ground yourself. Seriously. Everyone looks to you to keep yourself calm, know when you need a break. Go to your room, lock up your electronics, and discipline yourself to sit in quiet, read a book, or just enjoy being alive. You won't regret it!

HUGE update! 🎉 I officially wrapped up my final project for Project & Portfolio II at Full Sail University, and I'm thrilled to say I finished the course with an A!

This project was a massive, three-week market analysis for Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. It was challenging—I had to consolidate tons of primary research, conduct in-depth STEEPLE and SWOT analyses, and create detailed customer personas for products like Iron Gwazi and the Wild Oasis realm. I even got to flex my graphic design skills!

The biggest takeaway was learning how to distill complex data into a clear, actionable strategy. Huge thanks to my instructor for the incredible guidance!

Want to see the skills I'm building?

I've posted all the professional details, including the specific marketing concepts I covered, on my LinkedIn page!

One of the most effective ways to drive away your top talent is to burden them with the responsibility of compensating for the shortcomings of your less productive employees. When high performers are consistently required to pick up the slack or manage the fallout from low performers, it can lead to frustration and resentment.

This imbalance not only diminishes their motivation but also undermines their sense of value within the team. Therefore, it is essential to create an environment where all employees are held to a standard that encourages accountability and performance, allowing high achievers to thrive rather than carry the weight of others.

I'm thrilled to share a major milestone from my Content Strategy, Development, and Marketing course at Full Sail University! 🚀

I've been immersed in creating a full content strategy for my ongoing case study, Crunchyroll. I just finished a key deliverable: developing a sample blog and a detailed rationale explaining the content choices.

This deliverable is a crucial step towards my final project—a pitch presentation to the hypothetical Crunchyroll. It focuses on how a fan-centric content strategy can be leveraged to build a stronger community bond, drive engagement, and dramatically increase brand visibility within the anime community.

The rationale and sample blog are now live and featured on my profile. I'd love for you to check it out! Your feedback is always welcome as I refine my final presentation.

Hey everyone! I'm so excited to share what I've been working on for my Content Strategy, Development, and Marketing course. For my project this month, I've chosen Crunchyroll as a case study and have been documenting my journey in a series of featured posts.

I've been doing a ton of research into their audience, their mission, and their business model. My course projects, which I've been sharing in the featured section of my LinkedIn profile (https://www.linkedin.com/in/crystalsrsich/), go into detail about why a blog that recaps and reviews anime would be a great addition to their content lineup.

This series will continue until the end of the month, and I'll be officially launching my personal blog on October 3rd, with recaps and reviews of your favorite anime found on Crunchyroll! Stay tuned for more updates and the final launch!

Just a quick note that these projects are college course assignments and are not related to Crunchyroll's operations.

Grateful for the opportunity to have participated in the Student Experience Panel at Full Sail University on Monday. It was an honor to share my journey and a privilege to learn from the inspiring testimonies of my fellow student panelists. The unique, immersive education at Full Sail is truly second to none, and I am excited to see how it shapes my future career in the themed entertainment industry.

Are you posting on Facebook every day but still getting crickets? 🦗 It can feel like all your effort is for nothing when your audience isn't engaging. 😩
Here are 5 things you can start doing today to turn things around:

1. Be a conversation starter. 🗣️ Don't just wait for people to come to you. Actively participate in groups and on pages related to your field. Comment on other people's posts and share valuable insights—it's the best way to get on their radar.

2. Expand your reach. 🚀 Limiting yourself to one platform means you're missing out on potential customers. Branch out to platforms like YouTube, Instagram, or X. Find out which platforms your audience uses most and start building a community there.

3. Work smarter, not harder. 🧠✨ Take one piece of content, like a video or blog post, and turn it into multiple pieces for different platforms. This saves you time and effort while getting your message in front of a wider audience.

4. Create with a purpose. 🎯 Every post should have a clear goal: to educate, to inspire, or to prompt action. Make sure your content is relevant and authentic to who you are, and always include a clear call to action.

5. Target the right people. 🔍🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Make sure you're speaking to the people who actually need what you offer. Do your research to understand who your ideal customer is and what they're looking for.

Remember, building a strong online presence is a marathon, not a sprint. The key is to stay consistent and not give up! 💪

I'm a digital marketing professional with 5+ years of experience helping businesses boost their online engagement through smart strategy and effective tools. If you're ready to take your marketing to the next level, I'm here to help. 📈

If anyone is interested in developing their skills in Social Media Marketing, a quick thought based on my experience that might be helpful.

💬 Here are some tips for developing this skill:

1. Be Consistent in Your Posting
Consistency isn't just about showing up; it's about building anticipation and trust with your audience. Think of your social media presence like a favorite TV show – if it airs sporadically, people might lose interest.

2. Stay True to Your Brand
Your brand is your unique identity – what makes you, or your business, stand out. Authenticity and consistency in branding build recognition and loyalty.

3. Engage with Your Audience
Social media is a two-way street. Engagement builds community, increases your visibility, and provides valuable insights into your audience.

4. Clearly Express What You Want
Every piece of content should have a purpose. Guiding your audience toward an action or a specific understanding is key to achieving your social media goals.

5. Be Authentically You
In a crowded digital space, authenticity helps you stand out and build genuine connections. People connect with realness, not perfection.

By focusing on these areas, you'll not only develop strong social media marketing skills but also build a compelling and effective online presence. What specific aspect of social media marketing are you most interested in developing further?

I've been thinking a lot about the fear people have of sharing their personal lives at work. So many of us keep our two worlds separate, believing that being "unprofessional" means showing who we are outside of the office. But I feel the opposite is true. I am able to do my job with confidence and skill because of my personal experiences, not despite them.

My four children and my husband aren’t a distraction; they're the reasons I'm a better professional today.

My patience? I learned that from one of my kids who needed a little extra time and understanding. The authority in my voice? I found that while guiding another. I've become a master of conflict resolution by mediating disagreements between siblings, and a creative problem-solver by navigating the endless surprises that come with a busy household. I'm able to manage my time effectively because my home falls apart if I don't. And the ability to follow up in a kind and effective manner? I mastered that because my husband needs consistent, friendly reminders.

I am not afraid or ashamed to share my personal life. My husband and my kids are my foundation. Without them, I wouldn't have the skills and perspective that make me successful in my career.

Don't be afraid to let your personal story be a part of your professional one. I'm curious to hear your thoughts. What parts of your life outside of work have shaped the person you are on the job?
