The Second Annual DY Wilbert Lee Scholarship program was inspired by my late grandfather who always challenged us to be the best at everything we do no matter what it is!

DY Wilbert Lee Scholarship

Write a 500–600-word essay explaining to what extent is education valued in today’s society, and what can the current generation do to restore respect for education as a whole?

Two participants will be chosen as recipients for this scholarship (one male/ one female). Each recipient will receive a $1,000 scholarship. Remember to review and adhere to the scholarship requirements before submitting.

Requirements

• Must be planning to attending a 4-year college or university.

• Must be a current student in Marion or Levy County.

• Must obtain at least a 3.5 GPA weighted.

• Must have earned at least 75 hours of community service.

• Must be able to confirm the total community service hours and GPA through your school portal.

The Deadline is March 31, 2025. Essays will not be accepted after the deadline.

And a big thank you to our sponsors who believed in the cause and donated and additional $1000 so each studen could receive $1000 each instead of $500 each
