š·ļøš A Lesson Learned: Donāt Mess With a Manās Tarantulas! šš·ļø
Apparently, there are two things you should never assume⦠when someone is in jail, and that is that they donāt want their pets back! š
According to the Marion County Sheriffās Office arrest report, a 37-year-old Ocala woman was arrested after she allegedly sold a manās collection of exotic pet tarantulas while he was incarcerated. The spiders reportedly included a Green Bottle Blue, Golden Knee Chaco, Brazilian Vera Cruz, and three Pink Toe tarantulas, with the collection valued at approximately $590.
Investigators say the victim returned home after his release only to discover his prized tarantulas were gone. During the investigation, it was alleged that the spiders had been sold because they were expensive to care for and there were concerns about them being around younger children.
The woman was arrested and charged with dealing in stolen property and second-degree petit theft. She is scheduled to appear in court on August 4 at 9:00 a.m.
šøļø Moral of the story: You may not understand someoneās hobby, but donāt underestimate the bond between people and their pets. Whether itās a dog, cat, snake⦠or six exotic tarantulas, they still belong to someone.
š One thing is for sure⦠that man does NOT play about his pet tarantulas! š·ļø
