The Blake - A Short Film
MACHINES DON'T HAVE A CHOICE. YOU DO.
August 1971. The Blake Silk Mill runs on a roar loud enough to drown out a scream.
Sixteen-year-old Chris Tiller is working his last shift. Two minutes before the power cuts, floor lady Maggie O'Hara snags his rack and orders a two-hour strip-down — one final attempt to anchor him inside the building that has already eaten everyone else in it. In his pocket is a scrap of sheet music an old chemist pressed on him, with a warning: machines don't have a choice, you do.
Thirty years later, Chris walks back into the ruins and finds out who the music belonged to.
