This is so true whether in-person, on social media, on your website, in-store or on print. A lot of the times, it can be a lot less than 7 seconds for us to pass "judgement" on something, person or business.
Let's talk about our online, digital and print first impressions since this is what I specialize in!
🔸 WEBSITE
In this day and age, a lot of the times, our website is the first touch point our audience will come in contact with. Think about your own browsing behavior when you land on a website, do you take the time to read through the entire website before deciding if you want to hire or buy from them? No, right? Unless something intrigues you to stay and keep browsing. So you really have a few seconds to tell people what they can expect from your website. Be concise and get to the point!
🔸 DIGITAL
Does your digital image, your brand, give a great first impression? Is it well thought out in terms of colors, fonts, imagery, taglines, voice, etc? Are you using colors and fonts that's attractive to your target audience and ones that make sense for your niche? Are you using languages that your audience is used to and can relate to?
🔸 PRINT
Not only does your print collaterals have to be inline with your branding and website but remember that this is not only online and digital, your audience actually touches and can feeeel the paper and materials you choose to print on. If I say that I'm a luxury brand and I print on thin, filmsy paper for my business card, it doesn't really align with my brand, does it? Do not neglect this part of your branding, use this opportunity to make another great impression and impress your ideal clients.
